The weekend of January 26th I had an Aerial competition at Buffalo Ski Club. The event consisted of two competitions both on Sunday and within each competition you were allowed two jumps. In aerials, unlike moguls, both jumps count in your score (jump 1 + jump 2= Overall Combined Competition score). The training was rough and full of falls but I ended up landing all of my competition jumps. In the first event I placed second and in the second event I placed first. These two competitions landed me a second place overall combined!
The weekend of the February 2 and 3rd, there was supposed to be a singles and duals mogul competition in Killington, Vermont. When the competition was cancelled due to bad weather conditions, Holimont took the opportunity to host the A Mogul event at their mountain. This was the very first A mogul event ever to be held in Ellicottville. This was a major advantage to me because the event was going to be held at my home mountain on the course I had been training on for the entire season. The event was put together quickly but it ended up running smoothly and it was a lot of fun! There were two singles events held on Sunday. In both events I was leading the competition after the first run. However, in the first event I placed second and in the second event I also placed second. Overall it was a very fun weekend!
