Hi, I’m Maggie.

EQS Championships '11

I am fourteen years old and I am a freshman at Pittsford Sutherland High School in Pittsford, New York. I started skiing at age three and got into freestyle skiing around age eight. I went through my mountain’s ski teaching programs and when I was eight I tried the more relaxed free skiing and park program.

After that I went to our mountain’s competitive freestyle program, FLITE team, coached by two former U.S. Ski Team freestyle skiers (Kelly Hilliman Hacker and Corey Hacker).

I ski two disciplines of freestyle skiing, moguls and aerials.

In 2011, I won the East Coast Freestyle Championships with the highest overall score combined in slopestyle, moguls and aerials. I was number one in aerials and slopestyle and number two in moguls.

Last year (2012) was my first year in the “A” circuit. I finished the year within the top 40 female freestyle skiers overall in the United States. I qualified for both U.S. Junior Nationals and U.S. Nationals. Last year was my first year that I competed doing back flips in the moguls.

When I’m not skiing, I enjoy soccer, swimming, hiking and camping with my family.
